Our PLA Compostable Takeaway Containers embody the beautiful principle of a circular economy: resources are used, then regenerated, rather than disposed of. This journey begins not in an oil field, but in a sun-drenched field of crops.
We source our raw materials from sustainably grown, annually renewable plants like corn. These plants absorb CO2 from the atmosphere as they grow. The starches and sugars are then extracted and fermented, undergoing a process of polymerization to create Polylactic Acid (PLA). This bio-resin is then formed into our strong, functional containers, ready to carry your food.
After serving their purpose, the containers begin the final, transformative stage of their journey. When collected and processed in a commercial composting facility, they are broken down by microorganisms. Within months, they are fully converted into compost—a rich, earthy substance teeming with nutrients.
This compost is then used to enrich agricultural soil, closing the loop by supporting the growth of new crops. The carbon captured by the original plants is largely returned to the soil, creating a carbon cycle far more benign than the linear "take-make-dispose" model of traditional plastics.
By choosing our containers, you become an active participant in this restorative cycle. You help create demand for agricultural products, support sustainable farming, and ensure that your packaging waste becomes a force for regeneration. It’s a complete, holistic story that connects your business to the land in a positive, productive way.
